AIDA takes home “One to watch: Product of the Year” at the Document Manager Awards

Last Thursday night I was at the Hilton Hotel by Tower Bridge, where AIDA won the award for One to Watch: Product of the Year at the Document Manager Awards 2025.
To say it was a surprise would be putting it mildly. This was one of the most hotly contested categories of the evening, with around 30 different products in the running - many from large, well-established players both in the UK and internationally. Honestly, just being shortlisted alongside them was already an achievement. Taking home the award was a genuine shock.
Why this award matters
AIDA was built to rethink how organisations deal with documents - eliminating the pain of manual processes with intelligent automation that anyone can use. We’ve spent years developing a platform that combines Optical Character Recognition (OCR) with Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) and increasingly agentic AI to automate all sorts of document workflows.
This award tells us that people are noticing - and that the market is ready for the next generation of document automation.
The mood in the room
What really struck me that evening was how many conversations revolved around the shift away from print. It's clear that traditional print and scanning services are increasingly fading in the rear-view mirror. The future is digital (and automation!) and the industry knows it.
And in the conversations I had, when I started talking about our agentic AI capabilities, ears pricked and eyes widened. The idea of AI not just extracting data, but taking meaningful action on documents, that’s where a huge amount of interest appears to be.
One moment in particular stayed with me. I was chatting with a representative from a well-known MFD manufacturer. He was explaining how they categorise partner solutions into neat buckets - either “capture” or “document management.” As we talked, and I walked him through AIDA’s capabilities, I could see the gears turning and then the light bulb moment: “Wait,” he said, “you're effectively both an extraction tool and a document management system.” It was clearly something of a shift for him - an instant recognition that the old categories don’t quite fit anymore. The world is changing and platforms like AIDA are blurring those traditional lines in ways that open up entirely new possibilities.
What's next for AIDA
This award has been a real boost for the whole team at AIDA as it is confirmation, if confirmation were needed, that we are absolutely on the right path. We’re not just building features. We’re helping people work smarter, reduce errors and make better decisions by transforming document chaos into structured, intelligent, automated workflows. And all that with minimal set-up.
So, thank you to everyone who’s believed in AIDA so far. Thank you to everyone who voted for us. Thank you to Document Manager Magazine for their ongoing support - and a great evening. And thank you to Selectec and all our partners who see and share the good news about AIDA! And to those just discovering us - now’s a great time to see what all the buzz is about.
Get in touch with us and discover why we’re the one to watch.
