AIDA Boost: more than just data extraction

Unlike traditional AI solutions that require hundreds of samples or LLM-based extraction models that lack effective personalisation, AIDA's unique adaptive learning allows it to learn with a single click what field to extract and from where on a document, regardless of the document format.

AIDA Boost takes its Intelligent Document Processing feature to the next level, removing two of the biggest obstacles to automation today: setup time and the constant checking and correction work required by the user when documents change. It is built for teams who want a Document Management System that doesn't just store files, but automatically extracts the right information, consistently, at scale and uses it where needed to accelerate all business processes.

And with AIDA's upcoming agentic AI capabilities, we are ready to give your productivity an even bigger boost - a decision-making one.

The challenge: tables, inconsistent fields and “too much data”

In organisations, the same problems come up again and again:

  • Line items are buried in tables and are manually retyped
  • Key values are inconsistent ("Address," "Ship to," "Patient Address," "Service Location")
  • Templates change and brittle rules break
  • Extraction returns noise, not the precise data your workflow needs

AIDA Boost is designed to solve these problems with zero-configuration table extraction, training-free data extraction, field intelligence, and prompt-driven precision.

1) Automatic extraction of line items from tables, with zero-configuration

Traditionally, extracting table line items means defining columns and configuring the table first. Not anymore with AIDA Boost!

As we wrote about in our December newsletter, AIDA Boost automatically detects tables and extracts line items with zero configuration, turning tables into structured rows immediately.

Logistics example:

AIDA Boost extracts line items from a delivery note such as:

  • SKU / item code
  • Item description
  • Quantity shipped v. quantity delivered
  • Batch/lot (if present)
  • Packaging units / pallets
  • Exceptions (damages/shortages) if listed in a table

Result: operations teams can capture shipment details fast, without having to draw the table even once to define the columns—an operation previously necessary at least once for every supplier or warehouse format.

2) Automatic training-free data extraction, naming and categorisation of data points without training

AIDA Boost also accelerates extraction of key single-value fields, without needing a training cycle before you see results.

AIDA uses intelligent formats that can recognise common values immediately, including:

  • Dates
  • Email addresses
  • VAT numbers
  • IBANs
  • People's names
  • Geographical locations (addresses, cities, towns, etc.)

Finance example (invoice headers):

From the first invoice, AIDA can identify and present meaningful data points such as:

  • Invoice number and invoice date
  • Due date
  • Supplier/customer names
  • Tax identifiers (e.g., VAT number)
  • Payment details (e.g., IBAN)
  • Totals and currencies

In addition, AIDA will also organise them neatly into appropriate categories, e.g. supplier info, payment info, invoice details, etc. - but of course you have all the flexibility to configure each document type and property therein to your specific needs.

This reduces the “time-to-automation” dramatically, especially when invoices arrive in many formats.

3) Intelligence that understands what a field requires

Basic IDP (+OCR) technologies can extract text and fields from documents, even with a single training session. AIDA Boost goes much further, understanding the context of text and data within a document and extracting usable values that meet real operational requirements.

AIDA Boost knows what fields are typically included for a given property potentially condensing multiple fields into a single property without the need to select each line item separately. For example, it can capture all the necessary elements of an address even if they are distributed over separate lines. Equally, and conversely, AIDA Boost can also split a single field into multiple properties. For example on a prescription, it can automatically split out a doctor’s medication instructions into the individual elements, e.g. medication name, strength, dosage, frequency, duration, etc.

Healthcare example:

If the documentation relates to a prescription or a medical insurance claim, AIDA Boost knows to look for the necessary information such as:

  • Patient name
  • Date of birth
  • Patient address (or location block)
  • Clinician / facility details
  • Insurance number
  • Social Security number

4) Prompts that control extraction so you get only the specific data you want

AIDA Boost adds a practical layer of control: Boost prompts let you steer extraction outcomes so the output matches your operational intent, especially when contracts include long sections that are irrelevant to your workflow.

Use prompts like:

  • “Extract only the termination and renewal clauses.”
  • “Extract only liability and indemnity clauses.”
  • “Extract only highlighted text in the agreement.”

This shifts extraction from “everything the system can find” to exactly what your legal workflow needs, with far less manual scanning.

Conclusion: automation that starts immediately and stays accurate

AIDA Boost is built for teams who want results now:

  • Zero-setup table line item extraction (e.g. delivery notes)
  • Training-free data extraction using smart formats (e.g. invoices)
  • Smarter properties that automatically adapt to what your process requires (e.g. patient data)
  • Prompt-driven precision (e.g. contract clause extraction)

But it doesn’t stop there. With the AI agents we are currently developing and testing, we are set to revolutionise the way you think about document management and introduce efficiencies and decision-making power which until recently were barely imaginable.
